Our Chief Adventurer has thirty years of corporate experience working with companies such as Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, AT&T, Verizon Business, SwissCom, Deltek & Ellucian. He has a background in sales, global sales leadership, P&L management, learning & development, leadership development, team building, sales & business transformation, organizational change management and executive coaching. Dan has helped several technology companies transform their business strategy to one of accelerated growth by applying the three legged stool concept for business transformation by focusing on people, process, & technology.
Now the good stuff. Dan's first love for adventure is surfing and has spent many years chasing east coast Atlantic storms. Over the past couple of years he has been balancing his time between rock climbing, mountaineering and horseback riding. Although, he will not turn down the opportunity to paddle a river or he also may be found hiking a section of the AT in his backyard.
Dan was one of the nine members of the Red Paint crew along with his son who co-created the philosophy that became the foundation for Red Paint Consulting.
Dan also has a Level One Certification for Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) with the HERD Institute along with numerous credentials for coaching and facilitation. He partners with horses to help teams perform better and to develop leaders.
He is a graduate of Moravian College (Go Hounds), a husband with two children and currently resides in Northern Virginia with their five horses. His playground is Seneca Rocks, West Virginia, the Blue Ridge Mountains and the White Mountains of New Hampshire, with the occasional expedition to climbing routes in the western United States.
Our Chief Horse Person has almost 30 years of corporate business experience including 20 years with Lockheed Martin and Leidos with leadership roles in both finance and facility management. Cheryl has extensive experience in finance, strategic planning, process re-engineering, leadership development, team building and change management. Also, during her tenure at Lockheed Martin, Cheryl received a Six Sigma Greenbelt certification and Earned Value Management certification, as well as completing numerous business strategy and leadership development programs.
Now the good stuff. Cheryl's first love beyond the office are horses and nature. The owner of a small horse farm in Northern Virginia, Cheryl is the resident "Horse Whisperer" for Red Paint Consulting. Outside of horses, Cheryl has hiked the Swiss Alps numerous times and most recently bagged some peaks in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Chances are you will not find her high up on the rock face and more likely to find her on a trail ride with her Quarter Horse. Cheryl is always willing to push herself and others outside their comfort zone in order to build self-esteem and confidence fueling performance.
She is a graduate of Rutgers University with a BS in Finance, a wife and mother of two children. Cheryl currently resides in Northern Virginia.
