Our Chief Adventurer has thirty years of corporate experience working with companies such as Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, AT&T, Verizon Business, SwissCom, Deltek & Ellucian. He has a strong background in sales, global sales leadership, P&L management, learning & development, and leadership development, along with expertise in team building, sales & business transformation, organizational change management, and executive coaching. Dan has successfully helped several private equity-owned technology companies transform their business strategy for accelerated growth by applying the three-legged stool concept for business transformation, focusing on people, process, and technology.
Now for the good stuff. Dan's first love for adventure is surfing, and he has spent many years chasing east coast Atlantic storms. Over the past couple of years, he has been balancing his time between rock climbing, mountaineering, and horseback riding. He won’t turn down the opportunity to paddle a river, and he may also be found hiking a section of the Appalachian Trail in his backyard.
Dan was one of the nine members of the Red Paint crew along with his son, who co-created the philosophy that became the foundation for Red Paint Consulting.
Additionally, Dan holds a Level One Certification for Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) with the HERD Institute, along with numerous credentials for coaching and facilitation. He partners with horses in his equine programs to help teams perform better and enhance their leadership development.
He is a graduate of Moravian College (Go Hounds), a husband with two children, and currently resides in Northern Virginia with their five horses. His playground includes Seneca Rocks, West Virginia, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the White Mountains of New Hampshire, with the occasional expedition to climbing routes in the western United States.

Our operations & finance guru has almost 30 years of corporate business experience, including 20 years with Lockheed Martin and Leidos, where she held leadership roles in both finance and facility management. Cheryl has extensive expertise in finance, strategic planning, process re-engineering, leadership development, team building, and change management. During her tenure at Lockheed Martin, Cheryl earned a Six Sigma Greenbelt certification and an Earned Value Management certification, along with completing numerous business strategy and leadership development programs.
Now for the good stuff. Cheryl's first love beyond the office is horses and nature. As the owner of a small horse farm in Northern Virginia, she is the resident "Animal Whisperer" for Red Paint Consulting and is involved in equine programs that foster leadership development and team building. Outside of her passion for horses, Cheryl has hiked the Swiss Alps multiple times and recently conquered some peaks in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. You are more likely to find her on a trail ride with her Quarter Horse than high up on a rock face. She is always eager to push herself and others outside their comfort zones to build self-esteem and confidence, which fuels performance.
Cheryl is a graduate of Rutgers University with a BS in Finance, and she is a wife and mother of two children. She currently resides in Northern Virginia.

Ashley is our resident horse whisperer and is responsible for all things horses, including program operations and logistics, horse safety, development, health, and training. She ensures that the horses are treated fairly as equal co-facilitators for RPC while prioritizing the safety of both the horses and participants throughout our equine programs. Currently, Ashley is also a Patient Care Veterinary Assistant with Virginia Tech's Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center.
Now for the good stuff. Ashley is an avid equestrian specializing in eventing, which consists of three separate disciplines: dressage, show jumping, and cross country. She enjoys training young horses and riders to enhance the human-horse connection, thereby aiding both to reach their full riding potential. Her focus on safety for both horse and rider reflects her commitment to leadership development and team building within the equestrian community. Ashley values the welfare of the horse above all else and prioritizes using correct equine biomechanics over harmful training methods or shortcuts that yield flashy but incorrect movements. She firmly believes that one can never stop learning and is dedicated to furthering her own knowledge in many areas. In her free time, you can find Ashley absorbed in a good book or hiking the Appalachian Trail throughout Virginia and New Hampshire. However, her go-to activity will always be riding her two horses, River and Jedi, especially when she is not busy training the family to be better riders.
Ashley currently lives in Round Hill, Virginia, and is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S. degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences.
